THOUGHTS ON QUEEN D'S WRITINGS FROM FELLOW RAIDER FANS

FROM MOST ILL: "You always come with a Positive spin when we lose, which has been quite often. You don't ever give up being a beakon for us to focus on when we start to get lost. Granted some may feel otherwise but thats on them, Not on you! You continue to move forward in a positive way. Thats a great example for us to learn from. Positive only breeds more Positive. And thats the direction we need to go in, not the other. You make me think about things from another perspective...Not just from my own. Which to me is enlighting. I now become more well rounded instead of being one sided. And thats what I call growth from within. I've learned how to be a BETTER fan due to you dropping SCIENCE. I will no longer Boo my team and thats due to you! I will Now cheer them on when I'm feeling the lows of our performance on the field. And I've have done so already"

SOME EXCERPTS FROM QUEEN D's WRITINGS:

TAKEN FROM THE ARTICLE TITLED: THE CHILL FACTOR

"The Day began with thoughts of the past. For the Raider Nation, that fateful day in the snow still lingers leaving a heavy weight on the Silver and Black hearts within the Nation. Years have passed circumstances have changed but the rivalry will always remain. "

"There’s not much more you can say. As I’ve said, sitting and bashing on everyone is ridiculous… I refuse to do it, If I can stand out in the rain, freeze my cold wet feet off to the point that I can’t walk just because I want to show the team I support them, I’m not going to play the blame game. We are the leg they stand on and I refuse to be a virus in that leg."

TAKEN FROM THE ARTICLE TITLED:
THE DAWNING OF A NEW DAY

"The dawn is upon us, the sorrows are gone,
as we run through the league and stand firm where we belong.

We defend our ship acting as first mate, We rip through the enemy and seal their fate.

So come with me, bring your shields and swords and prepare for the fight as we jump aboard."

TAKEN FROM THE ARTICLE TITLED:
I USED TO LOVE HIM

"I believe in Integrity. I believe in heart.... You have all heard me say this a million times... And It hurts my heart when something so dear to me loses that, or is mocked for it.... Or in our case... sometimes looks past it...

I fell in love with the Raiders because no team exemplified the qualities more than the Raiders... I still believe that today.... But as I said, in this day and age... other things now fall into the picture and its hard to remember the qualities in which made you great. Not that we lose them, they just tend to be overlooked."

QUEEN D on QUEEN D

I was born in the lovely city of the 916 Sacramento, CA. I was raised by the most Spectacular woman Ever! My Grandmother. She decided when I was about 5 years old to move us to this little town 15 minutes north of Fresno called Madera (The Heart of California) The exact middle of California.

Growing up in a small town you learn quickly how to be creative. As a young girl I watched football with my Grandfather and Uncle. They are fans of that other team that resides on the other side of the Bay. I quickly knew where my heart resided. They were playing one Sunday night against this team I hadn't seen as of yet. As soon as the coin tossed, my life in the Raider Nation began. I some how knew that the Raiders were the exact opposite of San Fransisco. Everything I didn't like about them, I LOVED about the Raiders!

While in Elementary school I was teased, because of the fact that I'm this little girl who not only liked a boys sport in football but because my Team was the Raiders. Kids can be mean, but no matter what... I NEVER GAVE UP MY RAIDER FAITH.

I attended Madera High for 2 years and then transfered to independent schooling. I Received my certificate in Medical Terminology, and with that realized many opportunities I had.

After School I traveled around for a while. I went on a 3,000 mile road trip from Fresno, CA to Miami, FL. We drove the 10 the whole way... and in EVERY state and city we passed though, I saw at LEAST 1 Raider fan. It was fantastic! After that I made a trip and Moved to Los Angeles. I ended up there for Only 2 months, but enjoyed myself immensely. Even with all these years that pass from the Raiders moving back to Oakland, you can still feel the presence there.

In the summer of 2006, I moved back home to Sacramento and is where I reside now. With only a short drive to Oakland, I could not ask for anything more. I make my way to the Black Hole during the season with my Friend. It definitely is a second home.

When I'm not in the Black Hole, I'm working for a Non-Profit organization during the day.

So this is me Queen D. I hope you enjoy my writings... I love to hear from the Raider Nation!

GOOO RAAAAAIIIIIIIDDDDDDEEEEEERRRRRSSSSS!!!!!

LEGEND - MR. RAIDER - TIM BROWN

I spent my days as a child watching this man run the field in every city he stepped foot in. He electrified the offense and no matter where you tried to put your attention, you couldn't help but focus yours on him.

My first opportunity to see Tim live in action was going to be the 2004 Season, I remember how excited I was. Saved up, planned out the trip and couldnt get my mind off of what I was finally going to get to witness. Tickets went on sale, I was up at the crack of dawn, purchased my tickets and it was finally official! It was only a matter of months before I'd get to see my Hero on the field in his true and Natural Glory, and then...as quick as the ticket transaction cleared so did Tim's career with the Raiders.
Needless to say I was heart broken. The only thing I found solace in was the fact that when Tim came home to the coliseum he caught his 100th Touch down pass in HIS HOUSE the only place it should have taken place.

Years have passed and the Raiders have not been the same. Nobody can ever take the place of Tim.

In May 2008 while attending the Grid Iron Greats Autograph signing I was sitting with friends watching a man jump rope and out of the corner of my eye 16 years flash before my eyes. You see, Tim was originally scheduled to attend this event but due to flight delays it was likely he was not going to make it. In a matter of minutes something I thought would never happen was sitting just 5 ft away from me.

I finally met My hero and as I almost passed out and lost my balance, Tim asked if I was alright and I simply said yes, and said just that... " I finally met my Hero. "
